About
A house built around one table.
Avioonys is a free-to-play social casino with an unusual rule for itself: it holds exactly one game, and it tries to make that game worth returning to.
A name with wings in it
Avioonys grows from avis, the old word for a bird, and the sense of flight that comes with it. We wanted a name that sounds like something lifting off, then asked what that should look like on a screen. We settled on the iridescence of a peacock’s eye-spot: colour that shifts as you move, a bronze edge that catches the light, and a dark centre that draws you in without shouting.
That feeling shaped every choice on the site. The teal is deep rather than bright. Gold appears as a thin rim, never a flood. Violet shows up only for a moment, when a card turns or a hand resolves. For all the flight in the name, you will not find a bird drawn anywhere; the feather is a mood, not a picture.
Why only one game
Early on we sketched a lobby with a dozen tables. It looked busy and felt thin. So we threw it out and asked a narrower question: what would it take to make a single hand of blackjack feel genuinely good to play in a browser?
The answer turned out to be mostly honesty. Ocellus Twenty-One uses a properly shuffled 52-card deck, scores Aces the way a real table does, and gives the dealer one published rule that it follows every single time. The animations are there to make the reveal pleasant, not to disguise what is happening underneath.
What we will not do
Avioonys is a social gaming site and nothing more. We do not take real-money bets. We do not sell coins, bundles, boosts, or memberships, and there is no route by which coins can be turned into money, gift cards, or prizes. Your balance simply resets when you reload, which is a useful reminder of how little it weighs.
We also do not pretend the table is a training ground. Doing well against our dealer does not predict how you would fare at real-money gambling, and we would rather you did not treat it that way.
Who it is for
The site is intended for adults aged 18 and over who enjoy card games for their own sake: the small decision at 16 against a dealer’s ten, the little lift when a natural lands. It is written in English and made for no country in particular, so wherever you are reading from, the table works the same way.
How it is made
Everything runs in your browser with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. There are no accounts to create and no game data sent to a server. If something looks wrong or a hand resolves in a way you cannot explain, we genuinely want to hear about it through Support.
